In these paintings, I strive to immerse the viewer in these spaces and in so doing, create the ‘small shifts’ in understanding and thinking about our place in an increasingly smaller, interconnected global society.”

Cheryl Goldsleger is an American artist born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1951. She received her BFA from Philadelphia College of Art, later The University of the Arts, and her MFA from Washington University, with additional study at Tyler School of Art’s program in Rome, Italy. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at institutions including the European Cultural Centre’s 2019 Venice Art Biennale, the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Israel Museum, and the High Museum. Her work is included in collections such as the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Fogg Museum at Harvard University, the High Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum, and Yale University Art Gallery. Her public project Crossroads is permanently installed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
