Bernd Radtke is a German photographer based in Aachen whose work is grounded in close observation, compositional restraint, and sustained attention to surface, light, texture, and architectural detail. His photographs transform ordinary and often overlooked spaces into quiet, atmospheric compositions. Through close cropping, controlled light, and a sensitivity to material surfaces, Radtke draws attention to walls, interiors, architectural fragments, and built details that might otherwise pass unnoticed. His images often suggest a space between documentation and staging, where surfaces, shadows, and structural elements become charged with stillness, intimacy, and symbolic presence.

Radtke has exhibited in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Denmark, and the United States. His work has been presented at C. Grimaldis Gallery, including Behind Walls, WITHIN / WITHOUT, and Summer ’19.
